Product description

Khatanga Degel in a shortened cut is an Eastern-style torso armor built for buhurt / full contact. The design follows historical analogs and source-based inspiration (13th–15th c. Mongol-Tatar / steppe context): a “robe/caftan” silhouette with an internal plate set that manages impact and holds structure.

Protection: oversized plates help cover chest, sides, and abdomen with fewer seams. The layout allows you to concentrate protection where you need it for your fighting style and event rules, without tying the product text to a single material—options are chosen in the item configuration.

Mobility: the shortened length reduces interference with the hips during squats, clinch pressure, and torso rotation. The caftan format supports a working shoulder and upper-body range, leaving room for a gambeson and additional shock-absorbing layers.

Fit: torso geometry is built around practical anatomy—close enough to stay stable, with clearance for under-armor protection. Final feel depends on selected size and what you wear underneath (padding, rib protection, belt setup).

Use & maintenance: a brigandine build is serviceable—plates and hardware can be repaired locally after hard sparring or tournaments. Routine checks focus on fasteners, edges, and high-impact zones.

Tournament checks: the construction is made with typical armored-combat inspections in mind (mass battles, duels, and adjacent rule sets). Final approval depends on the specific event’s inspection and your full protective kit configuration.
