Visored bascinet with hidden grille
Visored bascinet for buhurt and full contact where face coverage, clinch stability, and serviceability matter. The dome shape and construction logic are based on European XIV–XV century historical sources and analogs, adjusted for repeated tournament and training loads.
The visor is made with a hidden grille to reduce the chance of direct contact to the face while keeping functional sight. Fit is driven by geometry and correct sizing: internal volume is designed for a liner so you can tune stability without pressure points or helmet “play”.
- Protection: closed face area with focus on brow/mask zones; intended for polearm-heavy exchanges as part of a proper protective kit.
- Mobility: balanced weight and stable suspension points help controlled head rotation in clinch work.
- Included: mail aventail, padded liner with hidden additional plates, straps/hardware.
- Maintenance: straps and hardware are practical to retighten/replace; small fixes are realistic between rounds.
The design is aligned with common inspection checkpoints across multiple full-contact rulesets (including HMB/IMCF/ACL and similar formats), but final acceptance depends on the specific event rules and your complete setup (liner, neck protection, correct fit).
