Black Horror bascinet klappvisor for full contact
Bascinet “Black Horror” is a full-contact helmet made as a stylization of a klappvisor bascinet (based on historical European analogs of the 14th–15th centuries). The visor geometry is aimed at practical buhurt use: the front area covers the face and cheekbones, while the sight zone is shaped to keep usable vision during active movement and clinches.
The set includes a mail aventail to protect the neck and lower jaw when used together with a gorget/neck defense. Inside you get a padded liner with additional hidden plates: it improves durability under repeated hits and helps spread impact loads. The strap system supports secure retention so the helmet moves less under side impacts and pushes.
For day-to-day use, maintenance is straightforward: check visor/strap hardware, keep rivets and fasteners tight, and replace wear parts (straps, rivets, suspension elements) on time. The construction is service-friendly and can be repaired with common hardware without exotic parts.
Finish shade may vary (black to dark brown) depending on the processing batch. About tournament checks: the helmet is oriented toward typical requirements across major full-contact formats (HMB, IMCF and others), but final approval always depends on the specific event rules and marshal inspection.
