Product description

Norman helm for buhurt is a stylized design based on historical sources and period analogs from the 10th–13th centuries. The silhouette and fastening logic follow the early medieval prototype idea, while the internal build is adapted for full-contact fighting and routine training loads.

The focus is protection and day-to-day durability without adding fragile exterior elements. The helm uses hidden internal protection to help manage impact energy across the dome and surrounding head zones. This approach also supports clinch work: fewer snag points, more stable seating under contact, and simpler helmet handling during grappling.

Included components are built for use: a chainmail aventail for neck and lower head coverage, plus a padded liner with concealed reinforcement plates for fit tuning and shock management. The strap system is designed for regular practice; straps and hardware are service parts that can be replaced when worn.

For events under different rulesets (for example, HMB, IMCF, ACL and similar formats), compliance depends on your full kit and the current inspection criteria. The construction is aligned with common check points, but final approval is determined by the specific tournament’s regulations and your complete protective setup.

Care: keep the steel clean and oiled, inspect rivets/straps after sparring, and dry the aventail thoroughly. This routine reduces corrosion risk and extends service life.
