Product description
Barbute developed with reference to historical sources and Italian 15th century prototypes. The shell geometry forms a rigid protective contour around the head and face, relevant for repeated impacts in full-contact armored combat.
The helmet maintains usable vision and head mobility while supporting stability under pushes and grabs. Weight distribution and overall form reduce excessive shift during close engagement.
- Protection: reinforced brow and facial area with neck coverage defined by selected configuration.
- Mobility: balanced profile suitable for line fighting and clinch situations.
- Fit: sizing and layered padding consider head anatomy without implying fully custom manufacturing by default.
- Serviceability: straps and suspension elements can be replaced or adjusted between events.
The helmet can be supplied with a chainmail aventail or configured for use with a gorget. Compliance with tournament inspections depends on overall kit assembly, edge finishing, fastening condition, and the regulations of a specific league (HMB, IMCF, ACL and others may differ).
