Product description

Tournament bascinet is a practical helmet for buhurt / full contact, made as a stylization of 14th-century European bascinets, guided by historical sources and analogs. A clean outer shape helps reduce snag points and keeps handling predictable in close work.

The dome geometry and seating line are built around typical head anatomy, so the helmet sits more stable under hits and shoves. Retention straps handle fixation; worn straps are straightforward to replace during service.

  • Included set: chainmail aventail, padded liner with hidden extra plates, straps.
  • Fight comfort: emphasis on vision and breathing for duel formats and frequent clinches.
  • Maintenance: the liner is a consumable—dry it separately, re-stitch or replace as it packs down.

Multiple build options (steel/heat treatment/thickness) are available in the product selector—pick them to match your training load and league requirements. For event checks in full-contact armored combat, always verify the current rules: face/neck coverage and minimum thickness requirements can differ.

Service tip: after sessions, inspect rivets and straps, and check the aventail for damaged or deformed rings. Regular maintenance improves reliability and helps during pre-fight inspection.
