Persian Turban Helmet for Full-Contact Fighting
Persian turban helmet is a widely used eastern helmet type, made with reference to historical analogs from Iran and Turkey (14th–15th centuries). The design targets full-contact armored fighting where load distribution, stable retention, and serviceability matter more than decorative details.
Protection and durability
The dome geometry is intended to handle impact load and reduce snag points. A chainmail aventail covers the neck/lower head area while preserving mobility for turns and clinch exchanges. The kit layout helps build a continuous protective contour without adding unnecessary bulk.
What’s included
- Chainmail aventail (camail).
- Padded liner with hidden additional plates for reinforcement.
- Straps for fixation and retention.
Fit and comfort
The shape is engineered around head anatomy and common proportions: fit is achieved by correct geometry and suspension work. Retention can be adjusted via straps and padding arrangement within the chosen size, reducing shift under contact and during multi-hit sequences.
Use and tournament checks
Wear parts (straps, suspension elements, padding) are serviceable and replaceable, which simplifies repairs between training sessions and events. The construction is aimed at meeting typical tournament inspection expectations for full-contact formats (e.g., buhurt, IMCF/HMB and others), but final acceptance always depends on the current rule set and the inspector at a specific event.
