Oriental bracers with rondels for buhurt
Oriental bracers are plate arm defenses based on historical Eastern analogs and source-driven prototypes. The build targets full contact fighting: it covers the forearm and reinforces the elbow area without making the arm feel locked.
This model adds elbow protection with two large side rondels. The rondels help manage lateral and glancing strikes around the joint while keeping a usable bend for grip changes, shield handling, and clinch work.
Fit comes from the bracer geometry following the forearm profile and the elbow bend. Correct sizing and an under-armor padding layer help prevent rotation on impact and reduce load on straps and rivets.
For competitive rulesets (buhurt, HMB, ACL, IMCF, etc.), the design provides forearm and elbow coverage typically expected at inspections; final acceptance is always decided by the event’s technical check and its current rulebook.
Decoration is done by etching. The pattern can be adjusted by agreement without changing the base protective zones.
- Elbow reinforcement: two large side rondels.
- Forearm coverage with preserved mobility.
- Etched decoration; artwork options by agreement.
- Service routine: straightening after bouts, checking rivets/hardware, replacing straps as consumables.
