A khatanga reinforced with a cuirass is a classic Eastern armor, consisting of a torso with shoulder guards and a separate long skirt. The torso is reinforced with a rigid cuirass consisting of several horizontal plates. Similar armor was seen in miniatures depicting Mongol warriors. This armor design provides reliable torso protection, capable of withstanding the most powerful blows, as well as the necessary limb mobility.
