Chausses with Belt for padded under-armor leg wear
Under-armor chausses with a waist belt for full-contact use under plate leg armor. A single padding layer helps absorb part of impact and reduces hard-edge pressure from plates. The belt stabilizes the fit at the waist to limit sliding during clinch and footwork. Built-in lacing points on the belt support tying in plate legs depending on your suspension method. Pattern geometry considers anatomy and walking mechanics for workable mobility.

Product description

Chausses with Belt are under-armor padded chausses intended to be worn under plate leg armor in buhurt / full contact. They add a soft buffer between the body and rigid plates: part of the impact is dissipated, and contact with plate edges and ribs becomes more manageable.

The core feature is the waist belt. It keeps the garment anchored at the waist and helps reduce sliding during clinch work, falls, and aggressive footwork. For practical mounting, the belt includes lacing points for tying on plate leg elements (final placement depends on your specific suspension system).

The basic version uses cotton and linen fabrics with a single padding layer. This gives moderate thickness without excessive bulk, helping preserve mobility at the hip and knee and making it easier to achieve a clean fit under cuisses, poleyns, and greaves. The pattern is shaped with anatomical proportions and gait dynamics in mind to limit bunching in bend zones.

Maintenance: check laces and attachment areas after fights, replace worn cords/knots early. Dry fully after use and avoid storing damp under plates.

Historical basis: the cut and principles follow historical analogs of padded under-armor leg wear, oriented to sources/prototypes and adapted for contact-sport durability.

About tournament checks: the concept aligns with common inspection logic (soft layer under rigid defense and secure fixation), but acceptance depends on the event ruleset, your full kit, and on-site armor check decisions.

Sizes: M–L and XL–XXL.

Attention! Dimensions measure in the clothes and shoes, which are planning to put the product

Dimensions for shins:

  1. From the point under the knee to the bend of the foot
  2. The inside of the lower leg. Please note that the inner flap should not interfere with the bend of the leg at the knee.
  3. Leg circumference below the knee
  4. Girth at the widest part of the lower leg
  5. Girth at the narrowest part of the lower leg

Dimensions for hips:

  1. From legs bend at the hip to a point above the knee. Please note that the upper part of the plate hip should not interfere with the bend of the leg.
  2. Inner hip. Please note that the plate hip should not interfere with the bend of the leg at the knee.
  3. Circumference upper hip
  4. The girth of the widest part of the hip
  5. The girth of the hip above the knee

Dimensions for knees:

  1. Knee height
  2. Knee girth
