Product description

The trapezoid punch shield is a practical choice for buhurt/full contact when you need more than passive coverage: it is used to disrupt the opponent’s line, apply pressure in clinch, and control hands and weapon arm. The shape is based on historical small impact-shield analogs, adapted to modern full-contact use.

Shield size: 65×42 cm. The core is built from three layers of plywood with a total thickness of 12 mm. Both sides are covered with fabric to protect the layers from chipping and moisture, and the outer reinforcement is 4 mm leather, improving edge life under repeated impacts and abrasion against armor.

A forward-shifted balance helps you “meet” the opponent and keep contact while still allowing fast angle changes and wrist mobility. For beginners it is straightforward to handle; for experienced fighters it is a workhorse you can run hard and service quickly.

Fit and maintenance. Hand fit depends on your grip/straps and how you run your shield. The build targets stable sizing and an ergonomically clear hand position; you can choose color and pattern when ordering. For longevity: inspect the edge, re-glue or replace leather in time, and dry the shield after wet sessions.

About event checks. Covered edges and these materials are commonly acceptable for safety checks across many leagues (including HMB and similar formats), but final approval depends on the specific rules and the shield’s condition at inspection.
