Product description

Bazubands with biceps are an Eastern-style arm protection set adapted for buhurt and other full contact formats. They cover the forearm, elbow joint, and upper arm area to reduce injury risk from repeated strikes and edge contact.

  • Protection: the forearm shell acts as an outer barrier, the elbow cup takes direct impacts on the joint area, and the biceps cuff adds coverage where high and diagonal shots often land.
  • Mobility: built to work over a gambeson; strap tension sets clearance so flexion/extension stays free and the armor does not pinch the sleeve under load.
  • Fit & suspension: volume is adjusted with buckle straps; the upper lace suspension to the arming sleeve helps keep the piece in position during clinches and falls. Geometry is sized for typical arm anatomy; choose the size from the maker’s chart.
  • Durability & service: straps and laces are consumables and can be replaced without welding; riveted hardware is maintainable with basic tools.
  • Historical basis: the bazuband concept follows Eastern forearm prototypes referenced in historical sources; the “with biceps + reinforced elbow” layout is a sport modification and not a direct reconstruction.
  • Tournament checks: coverage and safe edges are aligned with common inspection points across different rulesets (including HMB/IMCF, ACL and local regulations), but final approval depends on the specific event.

Use with a padded arming garment and a gauntlet/mitt to keep spacing stable and reduce load on the wrist.
