Quilted Eastern Robe for buhurt and training
Quilted Eastern Robe made from durable black cotton with one layer of natural thick batting. Works as under-armor padding: dampens hits, spreads load from plates and straps, reduces chafing. Traditional eastern cut focused on mobility in clinch and body work. Suitable for training and events across multiple rule sets—final equipment check is always done by event officials.

Product description

Quilted Eastern Robe is a utilitarian layer for buhurt/full contact when you need impact damping and wear comfort without sacrificing movement. The design follows a traditional eastern pattern and is based on historical analogs and sources (visual and descriptive references of quilted protective clothing used by eastern peoples, including Mongol traditions).

Outer shell: durable black cotton. Inside: natural thick batting (one layer). This setup helps absorb shock, smooths plate edges, distributes pressure from straps and suspension points, and keeps the armor more stable during grappling.

  • Mobility: cut to support active arm work, torso rotation, and clinch fighting with less bulk in bend zones.
  • Fit: geometry accounts for common body proportions; sizing lets you choose volume without implying default bespoke measurements.
  • Service life: cotton shell tolerates routine use against metal; seams are accessible for field repairs.
  • Use case: effective under lamellar, brigandine, or other torso armor; also works as standalone padded wear for drills.

For tournaments, follow your organization’s requirements (HMB, IMCF, ACL, or local rules): passing inspection depends on your full kit configuration and the marshals’ decision at the specific event.
