Big knight shoulders in a Milanese style, aimed at buhurt use: wide coverage supports practical shoulder protection while the shape keeps mobility for weapon work and clinch. The design is simplified for full-contact maintenance, and the distributed thickness concept helps balance durability and weight on a large part. Historical basis: late 14th–early 15th century European prototypes.

Product description

These big knight shoulders follow a Milanese style and fit late 14th–early 15th century armor sets. Production is oriented on historical sources and historical analogs (prototypes) of European shoulder defenses of the period, with geometry adapted for full-contact training and events.

The construction is intentionally simplified for buhurt: fewer fragile details, more functional overlap zones. The larger size provides working protection around the shoulder joint and upper arm, while the profile is shaped to keep mobility and avoid “locking” the arm during strikes, grappling, and shield work.

  • Protection: large coverage area with overlap-focused geometry.
  • Mobility: designed to move with the arm instead of constantly pressing into the torso.
  • Durability: combined thickness across different zones helps keep service life while managing weight.
  • Fit: the shape considers shoulder-girdle anatomy (seat and proportions) for stable movement.
  • Use & upkeep: before fights, inspect fasteners, straps/suspension points, and rivets; replacing worn attachments is a normal part of keeping armor reliable.

Use case: recommended for buhurt. For duels, a smaller shoulder model is commonly preferred. Compliance with a specific event’s rules (HMB and other formats) is determined during the organizer’s technical inspection and depends on assembly, condition, and maintenance.
