Simple plate arm protection set: shoulder plates, elbow cops and tubular upper/lower arm pieces down to the wrist. Straps help tune fit over a gambeson and keep the elbow tracking during clinch work. Geometry follows practical 14th-century European references, aiming for coverage without locking the joint. For rule-checked events, final acceptability depends on correct assembly and the specific regulations.

Product description

Plate arm armor Simple Plate Arms is a practical arm protection kit for buhurt / full contact training and matches. The set covers the arm from shoulder to wrist with shoulder plates, an elbow unit and tubular pieces on the upper and lower arm. Hand protection (gauntlets) is selected separately.

The design is guided by 14th-century European references and historical prototypes: simple shapes, clear overlaps and a straightforward strap setup. The geometry considers basic arm anatomy, so with proper adjustment the elbow can bend and track without the “pinch” that often appears in rigid one-piece solutions.

  • Protection: closed coverage on shoulder, elbow and forearm areas; edges are finished to reduce snagging.
  • Mobility: articulation around the elbow and separated parts in the bend zone support a working range of motion for clinch and striking.
  • Fit tuning: strap points let you set volume and alignment over a gambeson without implying custom-made-by-default fitting.
  • Durability & service: straps and hardware are consumables; they can be replaced, and dents can be corrected locally.
  • Event checks: for rule-checked events, final suitability depends on correct assembly and the specific ruleset.

Before ordering, confirm sizing guidance and plan how you will suspend the shoulder area from your torso/arming system—this affects stability and elbow performance under impact.
