Oncifer Slavic Torso Armor for Buhurt Combat
Oncifer Slavic-style torso armor is built for full-contact armored combat and training. The design is guided by historical sources (medieval miniatures and iconography) and historical analogs, including plate finds from the territory of modern Russia linked to a 14th-century Novgorod context.
Protection and durability. The segmented plate layout covers core torso zones and helps distribute impact over a wider area. The row-based construction supports service life under repeated hits and is convenient for maintenance: fasteners and individual elements can be serviced as they wear.
Mobility. The torso is protected without locking the shoulder line. This supports active weapon work, clinch engagement, and torso rotation. Lower sections/splits aid stepping and hip movement.
Fit and adjustment. Geometry is shaped for a practical armored-combat silhouette and typical padding thickness. Adjustable closures allow tuning the volume to your under-armor layers and kit configuration, without implying automatic one-off custom measuring for every buyer.
Use and maintenance. For full-contact use, wear with appropriate padding and inspect straps/lacing, rivets, and edges after sessions. The construction is repair-friendly: hardware and consumables are replaceable locally.
Event rules and inspections. The armor targets common requirements found across buhurt and related formats (including HMB and other rulesets), but actual acceptance depends on the organizer’s regulations, the chosen configuration, and the condition of the kit at inspection.
